Review by hotel critic
During my recent escape to Kyoto, I found solace at the Kyoto Hotel Okura, where breathtaking views of the Higashiyama Mountains greeted me each morning. The spacious room, with its plush king bed and elegant design, provided the perfect retreat after long days exploring the city's exquisite temples and bustling Nishiki Market, just a short walk away. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's superb dining options; I couldn't resist indulging in the French cuisine at the Sky Restaurant Pittoresque, paired perfectly with wines from their exclusive cellar. Breakfast was a delightful affair, offering everything from Japanese staples to my beloved granola-ideal for fueling my adventures. The staff truly set this place apart. Their attentiveness, from arranging seamless airport shuttles to offering insightful dining recommendations, made me feel more like a welcomed guest than just another traveler. With its blend of luxury, convenience, and impeccable service, Kyoto Hotel Okura won my heart-and I can't wait to return for another culinary journey in this charming city.
